Loan Product Disclosures
UNO highly recommends you & your student file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) prior to applying for an alternative (private) student loan. Your student may be eligible for grants (assistance that does not have to be repaid) and Federal Direct Loans, which provide benefits and advantages that alternative loans do not provide.
The following is a historical listing of alternative (private) educational loan lenders who made an alternative, private student loan to students attending UNO since the 2019-2020 academic year.
Inclusion or exclusion of a specific lender is not intended as an endorsement or lack of endorsement by the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
The following list of lenders should not be construed as a preferred lender list. UNO has received no consideration from any lenders for placement on this list.
Lenders will be displayed in a randomized order. The order in which lenders and/or loan products are displayed does not demonstrate any preference whatsoever; you may choose any lender that offers alternative student loans, including lenders that are not on this list.
You should contact lenders directly for the most current and complete information, and to ask questions you have, prior to making a decision to borrow.
Terms and conditions of alternative (private) student loans vary according to each lender. Look for differences in interest rates, fees, credit check and co-signer requirements, and terms of repayment.
